Sun in My Heart

Sun in My Heart was founded by Kim McClusky, a friend living in that wonderful frontier town of Ely, Minnesota. Kim is an adventurer and explorer who owns Worldwide Paddling, a kayak adventure tour business that travels the globe.

Through Sun in My Heart, Kim built five schools for pre-school children in the rural mountainous area of Northern Viet Nam. The government of Viet Nam promised to provide teachers “if” a school building were available. The government of Viet Nam lived up to its promise and the five schools are up and operating.

Bridges to Learning

Bridges to Learning built a free school in Ho Chi Minh City called Anh Linh Free School. Anh Linh Free School provides classes to disadvantaged children that meets Viet Nam’s curriculum standards.

Viet Nam’s economic development is growing faster than any country in Asia. Without Anh Linh Free School, these kids would likely live a life of poverty, deprivation, exploitation, or crime.

English language instruction is mandated for all students in the state school system. It will be the language of commerce and economic prosperity in Vietnam’s future. The opportunity to learn English and to study computer skills allows Anh Linh students to compete with other students in Viet Nam.
